Certificate III in aged care Tafe is a full time discipline spanning a year. However, there are colleges and universities across the nation which would allow a student to study part time over two years. In most cases, studies would be done through online methods, and students could choose to have classroom bases studies or not as well.
Intakes happen continuously and throughout the year, so there are no special seasons allotted to this discipline. Upon enrolling, a student would have twelve weeks of study period, assessments and would also have industry placements given too. There are ten units which are mandatory for a student to complete, and apart from that, a student studying the course would have to offer four elective units too. Finally, in addition to that, students would have to prove minimum of two hundred hours of workplace or on the job training under the guidance and supervision as well.

The certified clearance from the police has to be provided prior to joining the course
Does recognition of prior learning hold weight?
When applying for the Certificate III in aged care course, the Recognition of Prior Learning only proves to the assessor that the candidate has had formal training, studies and experience for the same in real life. This is a recognition which would not work in favour necessarily, however it would help the candidate to apply for the courser, should the assessor notice that there isn't a need for duplication of specialisation for a certain study domain.
